Description of Working Principle

At the heart of the TPS43061RTET is its primary switch that switches between an active and a low side using the Switch Duty Cycle (SDC), which is the ratio between on-time and off-time of the switch. The TPS43061RTET uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the SDC. The PWM is determined by the ripple in the output voltage, set by the Commanded Output Voltage (COV), the Error Amplifier (EA) supplies this voltage to the controller, if the output voltage increases, the PWM duty cycle decreases, and vice versa.
