Working Principle

The current is then steered by a synchronous rectifier N-MOSFET to regulate the output voltage from the inductor. Plus the average current going through the inductor is regulated by adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM switch. The N-MOSFET switch is turned off by the controller division when the inductor current falls below the off-time threshold. This is a continuous process as the output voltage will be kept regulated.
