• Working Principle
The TPS61011DGSG4 operates with a buck-boost architecture. When the input voltage is lower than the input voltage range, the buck-boost manner works identically to a buck converter. When the input voltage is higher than the input voltage range, the buck-boost mode operates identically to a boost converter. The same power stages are used for buck and boost operation, eliminating the need for switches.When the device is enabled, the high-side N-Channel MOSFET power switch is turned on and the internal Block Diagram of the TPS61011DGSG4 device is shown in Figure 1. The integrated switch is turned on when the output voltage is below the FB voltage and is turned off when the output voltage reaches the FB voltage. The output voltage is monitored by the feedback voltage setting, which can be adjusted by setting the voltage divider on the FB pin.The inductor current is monitored by an integrated sense resistor and is limited by the peak current limiting circuit. The current limit value is set by the resistor connected between the SET pin and GND.
