TPS61096EVM-787 is a highly compact evaluation module (EVM) designed to allow design engineers to easily evaluate certain power supply features under typical applications. It is a DCDC & ACDC (Off-Line) universal buck synchronous SMPS that is usually used as a step-down converter, but can also work as a step-up, inverting or buck-boost converter, depending on the application. The device is capable of driving a buck switching current of up to 3 amps (3.3V to 24V output) and is capable of delivering up to 5/7/9 amps of continuous current when enabled by the external FETs.

The EVM is based on the TPS61096, which is based on the Texas Instruments AON6595 fully integrated synchronous buck-boost DC-DC converter with an integrated 6.25mΩ N-channel MOSFET. It is an efficient, low noise switching regulator for a wide range of applications, from high efficiency telecom and computing applications to mobile devices, slim notebooks, and even automotive solutions. It is also ideal for powering a wide variety of PCs, laptops, wearables, and IoT applications.
