6. Function description

A logic low on EN forces the TPS62110RSAT device to shut down. During shutdown, the power switch, drivers, voltage reference, oscillator and all other functions are turned off. The LBO pin is high impedance while PG remains low. In shutdown mode, the supply current drops below 2 µA. When the device is in thermal shutdown, The bandgap is forced open even if the device is turned off by pulling EN to GND. If there is an output voltage when the device is disabled, possibly due to an external voltage source or a supercapacitor, the reverse leakage current is specified under Electrical Characteristics. Pull the enable pin high to soft-start the TPS62110RSAT device. If the EN pin is tied to any voltage other than VI or GND, it may add a typical 10 µA and up to 20 µA of leakage current.
