It is a high-performance, cost-effective, low-noise, fixed-frequency, voltage regulator designed for driving high-current, low-voltage loads from a Lithium-Ion or three-cell alkaline battery. The highly integrated solution operates from a battery voltage range as low as 2.6V, and supports full load current up to 2.6A over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
The TPS62225DDCR integrated circuit provides several features such as 17µA low quiescent current, programmable Soft-Start, and integrated compensation, while integrating the FETs, inductor and input-output capacitors. The device is available in a 3mm x 3mm VQFN16 package, and provides a controlled switch-on and a smooth transition from the low-power state to the normal mode of operation, as well as fast transient response required in portable applications.

Working Principle
