TPS65130RGET is a single-inductor multiple-output (SIMO) DC-DC switching regulator designed for low-power applications. It integrates regulation with high power efficiency, fast transient response and small footprint. The product contains two buck converters with separate enable control, a general operating voltage range from 1.8V to 5V, and a wide output voltage range from 0.5V to 5V.

Working principle

In general, the TPS65130RGET SIMO DC-DC switching regulator consists of two buck converters: a main converter and an auxiliary converter. The main converter provides the main DC power output to the system, and the auxiliary converter provides the additional current. The integrated voltage scaling function provides system voltage swing control for optimizing converter efficiency.

The converter has several operating modes, such as pulse width modulation (PWM) control, pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control, or the selectable PWM/PFM combination control.
