The TPS65980EVM is an evaluation board from Texas Instruments, which belongs to the Evaluation Boards - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS group. This board aims to provide a test platform for evaluating the performance of the TPS65980 synchronous boost converter. The TPS65980EVM circuit topology consists of two independent high-efficiency buck converters. One consists of an input voltage range of 3.3 V ~ 5.5 V, configured synchronous boost converter, with adjustable output voltage, up to 24 V. The second is a buck converter with an input voltage range of 4.5 V ~ 18 V, which provides an adjustable output voltage, from 0.9 V to 5.5 V. It also supports an adjustable switching frequency up to 2 MHz.

The external connection options provided by the TPS65980EVM are the power LED indicators, adjustable DIP switches, feedback pin, power supply pin, power fail pin, enable pin, and shutdown pins.
