The TPS76132DBVT is a low dropout voltage regulator designed for consumer and industrial applications such as set-top boxes, consumer electronic equipment and white goods. The high performance device provides adjustable output voltage of up to 26V with a maximum dropout voltage of 260mV at 300mA maximum load current, making it suitable for tight tolerance designs.The device features low output noise, fast transient response, low-power quiescent current, excellent ripple rejection and short-circuit protection. It is supplied in a DFN 3.3x3.3x1.1 mm package or an SO-8 package, allowing it to easily fit into densely populated circuits.The TPS76132DBVT is a low current, low voltage linear regulator that can deliver up to 300mA of output current. It utilizes a PMOS pass transistor in its output stage, enabling it to maintain a constant output voltage even in the presence of output current transients. It also features programmable soft-start and thermal shutdown protection.The regulator maintains an output voltage of 3.3V over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 27V. It can also be used in applications that require an even lower output voltage, such as 1.8V and 2.5V, by adding a series resistor to the feedback pin.The device allows for smooth, low-noise regulation by using a Spread Spectrum Clock (SSC) modulator to spread the switching frequency.
