TPS76901DBVR Application Field and Working Principle

The TPS76901DBVR is a low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator designed with high power density and high efficiency linear voltage regulator configuration. It has superior power performance with a maximum dropout voltage at 2.25V, even when input voltages are as low as 1.8V. The excellent thermal performance of the device makes it the ideal choice for systems where high current, small form factor, and low component cost are important considerations.

The device can provide up to 5A of continuous output current with a minimum dropout voltage of 1.8V and a maximum dropout voltage of 2.25V. It features a PWM controlled, constant current-mode device with a maximum feedback voltage of 1.24V and high load transient performance. It provides excellent line and load regulation, making it well suited for industrial and automotive applications.

Its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C allows it to be used in a variety of applications, such as automotive electronics, computers, networking, telecommunications and industrial applications.
