RF antennas are integral components of any successful device that utilizes wireless technology. The omnidirectional signal, directional signal, and omnidirectional gain capabilities of antennas make them well suited for all types of uses, including military and civilian applications. The TRA13803 is available in several standard configurations including a 4-element, 6-element, and 8-element model. The 4-element model is designed for use with GSM and 3G systems, while the 6-element model is optimized for use with 4G LTE Band 3 systems. The 8-element model is specifically designed for multiple frequency band applications that require simultaneous transmission of two or more frequencies. Additionally, the TRA13803 is small in size and light in weight making it ideal for use in space- constrained applications.

The working principle of the TRA13803 is relatively simple. The antenna consists of four, six, or eight electrically isolated, ergonomically designed radiating elements. These elements are connected to the low noise output amplifier (LNA) which amplifies the signal before it is transmitted. The radiating elements are also connected to the antenna’s directional couplers, which filter out any unwanted or interference signals. The directional couplers also act as phase shifters, allowing for the antenna to be adjusted for optimal performance in different environments.
