RS232 is an RS-232 industry standard for serial data communication. It is defined in the EIA (Electronic Industries Association) standard TIA/EIA-232-F. The RS-232 interface is composed of two parts, clock and data. It is widely used in industrial control, instrumentation, medical and instrument research and other industries.
RS232 is mainly used to transmit information between two digital devices and is an asynchronous, full-duplex communication methods. The two digital devices in a serial communications use their own clock to detect the other device\'s data and allow the receiver to synchronize with the sender. The clock signals sent by both devices flow along the same wire in a serial packet.
