The TRSF3232ECD is a differential driver-receiver IC, suitable for the transmission and reception of data with signal transmission rates up to 8 Mbps. It is a single-channel device with input and output signal levels that are compatible with most logic families and FETs. The device can be used in a wide variety of communication applications and is ideal for high speed applications such as Ethernet, ATM, Fiber Channel, and SONET.The main features of the TRSF3232ECD include an adjustable driver current, adjustable receiver thresholds, excellent data timing, low power dissipation and superior signal-to-noise characteristics. Additionally, the device has low input and output capacitance, low voltage and current requirements and high noise immunity.The TRSF3232ECD is designed to interface between the LVDS bus and other logic circuits, such as FPGAs, ASICs and GALS, etc. It is pin-compatible with other TRS devices and can be used as a drop-in replacement for most existing LVDS devices.The TRSF3232ECD includes three components: a differential pair driver, a differential pair receiver and an LVDS transceiver. The driver section consists of a differential N-channel MOSFET with a current-sensing circuit. The driver is designed to provide a low jitter output signal with a low power dissipation. The low voltage swing of the driver allows for efficient transmission over long distances.The differential receiver section consists of a differential amplifier with an adjustable threshold. The adjustable threshold enables the receiver to maintain the desired signal level even when the incoming signal is noisier than expected.The LVDS transceiver section provides support for the low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) protocol. The transceiver is designed to convert a logic signal to LVDS signaling and vice versa. It provides an interface between LVDS bus and other logic level signals.The TRSF3232ECD is ideal for a wide range of communication applications. It is suitable for high speed data transmission, low power operation and superior signal integrity.
