It is a low voltage SMD type crystal and its operating voltage is not higher than 1.8V. It does not require preamplification and is suitable for use in low noise environments, such as medical and telecommunications equipment. For applications where low power consumption is important, the TS051F23CET is ideal due to its low current consumption of 1.2mA max.The working principle of the TS051F23CET crystal is based upon the pullable quartz crystal oscillator. This is a solid-state oscillator concept which utilizes the piezo-electric effect. The quartz crystal‘s natural resonance frequency is determined by the size, shape and thickness of the quartz blank and the way it has been cut as well as the mechanical load applied to it.The TS051F23CET crystal utilizes the piezo-electric effect of quartz and works along with a parallel resonance circuit determined by its load capacitance, the amplitude of the output signal is the product of the circuit load capacitance and the amplitude of the quartz crystal.
