TT13A3T toggle switch is widely used in many applications as it offers high precision and long working life. The toggle switch has three poles with two "on/off" settings. It is widely used in industrial control and automation systems, machine control, lighting control, HVAC systems and security systems. The TT13A3T toggle switch is designed to be used in normal operating conditions and is not designed to operate in hazardous environments. It is designed to switch high voltage and current load circuits, with maximum rating up to 32 amps at 120 volts. It also has a bi-metal snap switch for thermal protection and overload protection. The working principle of the TT13A3T toggle switch depends on the contact material used to make the switch. There are two types of contacts used to make the switch; a silver-plated stainless steel contact and a gold-plated silver contact. The silver contact has a higher electrical and wear resistance, providing for a long life and high-performance switching. This contact material is ideal for low-frequency switching applications and the high resistance to wear makes it suitable for environments that are exposed to harsh chemicals or dust particles. The gold contact offers a lower friction resistance and is suitable for applications that require high switching frequency and extremely low contact resistance. The gold contact provides a higher level of electrical isolation, which is important for data transmission and protection of sensitive high-speed digital circuits. The TT13A3T toggle switch is designed to operate in two different electrical and two different mechanical modes. The electric modes are normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC). The normally open mode is a single switch mode where the contacts close when the toggle is moved up or down. The normally closed mode is a double switch mode where the contacts change from open to closed when the toggle is moved up and from closed to open when it is moved down. The two mechanical modes are momentary and latching. The momentary mode is a momentary type switch where the contacts remain closed as long as the toggle is kept in the same position. The latching mode is a double-latching type switch that keeps the contacts closed in the "on" position until the toggle is moved up or down.The TT13A3T toggle switch is extremely rugged and reliable, with an operational life of up to 1 million operations. It is also designed to be resistant to dust and dirt, making it suitable for use in harsh and dusty environments. The switch is UL and CSA approved, as well as RoHS compliant.
