Working Principle

The TUSB1002AIR is based on an IEEE 802.11b/g/n standard compatible 2.4GHz transceiver chip. It features a transmitter, receiver, and antenna in an integrated package. The TUSB1002AIR operates in the 2.4 GHz band with a maximum data rate of 54 Mbps. The transceiver consists of a baseband/medium access control (BB/MAC) core, a radio frequency (RF) transceiver, a dual-band CMOS on-chip fractional-N frequency synthesizer for the 2.4 GHz ISM band, a transmit and receive point of interface, and a low-noise amplifier (LNA).

The TUSB1002AIR supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n protocols, providing the baseband processing and link management functions, including the power save and roaming functions. The transceiver also supports the direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) modulation and packet processing abilities.

The TUSB1002AIR is capable of creating a link with a laptop/portable computer via USB or over a wireless network. The transceiver supports up to 8 devices concurrently by using multiple access point functions. The radio range is up to 200 meters and the transmit power is up to 16dbm for rf connections.
