TUSB320-HA-EVM

The TUSB320-HA-EVM is an Evaluation and Demonstration board and kits from Texas Instruments for evaluating the DC characteristics of the TUSB320 Low Power Type-C Port Controller integrated circuit. It is a full featured board that is designed to help evaluate the features and functions of the TUSB320 in a Type C cable, the accessory, the Type C port, the Alternate Mode and Power Delivery. It is also equipped with a USB-C connector for the connection and the board can be tested with a USB-C protocol analyzer or with other USB-C test tools.

The TUSB320-HA-EVM is also fully compliant with the latest Type-C specifications. It offers total flexibility for creating custom power delivery solutions. It provides a number of features such as USB-C super-speed data transfer, USB power delivery, and simultaneous charging of portable device. It supports a wide range of output power from 0-20V, 0-3A with a total of 60W.

The TUSB320-HA-EVM is built with an intuitive user interface that allows users to easily configure the board and intuitively evaluate the device. The menus provide an easy way to access specific operations, such as setting up the Type-C, Alternate Mode, USB-C protocols, or Power Delivery. A comprehensive suite of PC based tools is also provided for configuring and monitoring the board. The PC suite includes; Power Delivery Trainer, ControlCenter-OEM, and Utility Manager.

The TUSB320-HA-EVM device is comprised of an intuitive design that helps with understanding, simulating and demonstrating the operation of a real-world environment. It provides a powerful hardware and software platform for experimentation with and evaluation of the features and functions of the device. It also features an Audio-Jack or Detection & MCU Interface enabling a rich user interface.

The TUSB320-HA-EVM also includes LED indicators that help indicate the operation of the board and the status of the port. The LEDs also indicate whether the board is connected to a Type-C or another device. The board also includes an OMNI-Cable Debug and Test Probe to assist in troubleshooting any issues with the board.
