Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) are components used in many systems for converting analog signals into digital signals or vice versa. The TWR-ADCDAC-LTC evaluation board is used for both checking the performance of the LTC digital-controlled potentiometer (LTC DCpsc) and demonstrating the sample and hold functionality of the LTC 18-bit, low-power, 10kSPS, asynchronous SAR ADC (LTC DAC184S08).

The TWR-ADCDAC-LTC comes with an application field which is suitable for the power efficient, high accuracy, low cost, low spurs, single-channel differential signal SAR ADC with dynamic power control capabilities. The working principle of the board is to evaluate the performance of both the LTC DCpsc and LTC DAC184S08 in a single platform. The TWR Board is designed for items such as lead/free compatibility and reliable operation. The board also comes with several items such as LMX2595 as a reference clock, EEPROM memory and ADC micro-controller including an SPI bus.

The features of the TWR Board include remote control of the DAC and programmable internal delays. It also supports operation modes such as single-ended or differential input, sample and hold and adjustable power levels. The TWR Board has digital to analog converters (DAC) and analog to digital converters (ADC). Asynchronous SAR ADCs have a wide range of dynamic input ranges and the board uses MSBs and LSBs for the conversion process. The board also supports external clock connection, which is used for converting samplers into digital words.

The TWR-ADCDAC-LTC has two separate control modes - independent and multiplexed. The board supports four different measuring modes which includes sampling, pulse, manual and Ramp. The board supports operation with a 3.3V supply voltage and a maximum current of 10mA. The board also has an on-board temperature sensor, which can be used to measure temperature changes.

The TWR Board is a perfect platform for evaluating the performance of the LTC DCpsc and the LTC DAC184S08 which have high power efficiency and high accuracy.
