Inversely, theholes move to the cathode, leaving an excess of electrons in the P-type material.The diode has the ability to pass tiny current both ways. Because it has different valences (opposite to each other) in both ends, it’s not possible for electrical current to pass through both ends simultaneously. This is why U1D-E3/5AT behaves as the perfect rectifier.
