UB15RKG03N-F is a pushbutton switch made of zinc alloy material, suitable for most types of machines, mobile phones, game consoles, and other household appliances. It is environmental friendly due to its UL and VDE testing to meet RoHS standard. The switch is rated with a voltage of 0.3A/12V and a power of 0.36W in order to achieve effective performance. The switch features snap-fitting device, since it includes a plunging control bolt; this causes the switch to easily penetrate the machine and fit perfectly.

The operation of a UB15RKG03N-F pushbutton switch is based on the electrical contact principles, in which a button or input is used to open or close a path of electrical current. When the button is pressed and the external circuit is open, the electrical circuit is broken, and no current flows. Then on the opposite state, when the button is not pressed and the external circuit is closed, the electric current will flow through the switch. In addition, the switch can be configured to be momentary, or maintained by using a set screw at the base of the switch to retain either an “on” or “off” position.

The internal contacts of a UB15RKG03N-F switch are surrounded by a zinc alloy body which includes two side arms. The arms consist of a live side that is connected to a terminal block and a ground side that is secured to the chassis. These arms can be moved with a finger to open or close the circuit by depressing one of the sides of the switch. Also, with its low profile design, the switch can fit into very tight spaces. Additionally, its 0.8mm thick nylon terminal contact pieces allow a low force to be used to activate the switch.
