UC5170CQ Application Field and Working Principle
UC5170CQ is an integrated current-mode driver and MOSFET-receiver. It falls into the Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers category, and is designed to efficiently drive and receive signals in millisecond timescale. UC5170CQ employs four P-channel MOSFETs and two N-channel MOSFETs as the driver and receiver. The four P-channel MOSFETs form two NANDs, one at the driver side and the other at the receiver side. To control the driving and receiving signals, the UC5170CQ supports a wide range of control inputs. The driver and receiver can be completely disabled with a single control input. There are also two control pins that can be used to control the output voltage and current levels. The driver is capable of supporting output voltages ranging from 0V to 15V and can be switched between DC and voltage-controlled modes. Furthermore, the receiver is also capable of handling up to 15V input voltages and can be switched between analog and digital modes.
