UCC27222EVM, also known as a Universal Emulated Controller, is an effective solution for testing and validating DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS designs. This evaluation board provides the support and features needed to prototype, test, and validate a variety of circuit and system designs while helping to speed up product development. The UCC27222EVM evaluation board offers a wide range of power supply topologies, such as buck, boost, flyback, SEPIC, and other converter topologies, as well as a number of features that make it suitable for a variety of switching power supply designs.
The UCC27222EVM features a number of peripheral devices that enable it to provide isolation, switching, and monitoring functions. These peripheral devices include a temperature sensor, MCU, Power Drivers, and an Isolation Baseboard. This combination of devices provides sufficient system flexibility to configure a wide range of power systems.
The UCC27222EVM also includes an array of digital and analog features such as Multiplexer (MUX), Peak Error Amplifier (PEA), Latch Amplifier (LA) and On-Board Generator (OBG). The Multiplexer (MUX) isolates the control signals from the system and provides for AC/DC isolation of the input and output signals. The Peak Error Amplifier (PEA) allows for an adjustable output voltage. The Latch Amplifier (LA) helps to reduce switching power loss when the output voltage is reduced.
