UCC2804PWTR consists of four power-carrying pins (ACCP, ACCN, DCCP, and DCN) and two control pins (ACCP Control, and OVP Control). The voltage across the CONTROL pin, ( AC CONTROL pin) will determine the on-times of the switching regulator. DCCP, DCN and ACCP, ACCN pins are connected to the low and high side respectively, to provide current transfer from source to the load. As the voltage across the control pin falls, the MOSFET will turn on, allowing current to flow from source to the load. As the voltage at the control pin increases, the MOSFET will turn off, disabling the current to flow from source to the load. The output voltage is regulated by the OVP Control pin.
UCC2804PWTR also features built-in over-current protection. If the current passing through the switch exceeds the maximum limit, the switch will shut off automatically to protect the device. This feature helps to ensure the safety of the system and provides a reliable operation. It also features a thermal protection feature which will shut off the switch if the temperature exceeds the maximum rated temperature.
