Fized Inductors

Fixed inductors, also called chokes, coils or reactors, are two-terminal passive electronic components used to introduce inductance into an electrical circuit. They are widely used in signal processing and power conversion circuits due to their ability to store and manage energy.

UP2C-1R5-R Application Field and Working Principle

The UP2C-1R5-R fixed inductor can be widely used in power supply, audio amplifier, electric matching, signal isolator and other circuit fields. This DIP type inductor is specially designed for radiation protection and is suitable for high-frequency applications. The product has excellent performance for its size with a large dc superposition current of up to 700mA.

The fixed inductor is a coil made with enameled wire and wound with an iron core. The inductance of this unit is 1.5uH and has a winding resistance of 25mΩ 1kHz. This component is subject to a continuous operating temperature of up to 105°C. In simple words, the UP2C-1R5-R is an energy storage device. An important principle referred to as Faraday\'s law of induction states that whenever there is a change in magnetic flux through a coil, an electromotive force (EMF) gets induced within the coil. This EMF induces current in the circuit in which the coil is connected.

The UP2C-1R5-R features a fixed inductor with a wide operating frequency range between 1kHz and 1.5MHz. It is specially designed with an insulation resin-filled coil to protect against radiation. It also offers excellent self-heating characteristics and EMI noise suppression. The unit has a built-in rectifier circuit, which reduces its current ripple and increases its reliability.

The UP2C-1R5-R is based on the principle of the electromagnetic induction, where a changing electromotive force (EMF) induces current in the coil. The coil\'s structure is made of countless interconnected pathways and it is comprised of an inner core of metal wires and an outer envelope of insulating material. So, the UP2C-1R5-R works as a source of energy storage by buffering the current flow.
