The main application field of the UPOS-M10G-BST00 module is the industrial machine automation systems with extensive network requirements, military applications for remote sensing, command, control, communication and reconnaissance, telecom data centers, such as fiber channel network, and car networking.The module supports advanced features like QoS (Quality of Service) scheduling, dynamic port switching and supports network protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, ICMP , IPv4, IPv6, PPPoE, and SNMP. It is designed to meet the stringent requirements of high-throughput networks in these applications.
The UPOS-M10G-BST00 is a complete switching solution and supports high-speed data transmissions demands with 10 Gbps line rate over a single link. It uses effective switching support to send and receive data over the LAN. The switching process generally works in four steps. The first step is that the data packets are sent to the MAC will be sent to the switching engine which further sends the data packets to the destination MAC address.In the next step, the switching engine forwards the data packets through the proper routing path which is identified by analyzing the header of the packet. Next, the switching engine will filter out the packet type, IP address, and port number of the data packet and reports that information to the processor. In the last step, the packet is forwarded to the proper destination.
The UPOS-M10G-BST00 module also supports multiple protocol stacks including 802.1Q VLAN, SNAP, MPLS, IPV6, and other network protocols. This solution offers excellent quality and reliable operations and is designed with a secure data transmission model.It also meets IEEE802.3 standards for 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections over coax or twisted pair cables. This solution supports Load Balancing, Link Aggregation, and Fault Tolerance to manage and provide smooth data transfer over dynamic transmission paths.
