The UTP28CH100RD belongs to high-precision, low-offset differential pressure transmitter. It is is widely used in areas with high precision requirements such as petrochemical, chemical, power, pharmaceutical, nuclear, etc. The working principle of the UTP28CH100RD is based on the Wheatstone bridge principle, using strain gauges to detect the unequal relationship between two sides of the two membrane chambers and convert it into a linear current signal output.

Working Principle
UTP28CH100RD differential pressure transmitter uses thin film strain gauges and a Wheatstone bridge circuit structure to convert the pressure difference between the two pressure chambers into a standard signal output. The Wheatstone bridge is used to work in a balanced bridge method, and its two output signals are in an opposite relationship. The Wheatstone bridge circuit is composed of four resistors, and the two bridge arms are protected by two pairs of strain gauges. The strain gauge on one side is fixed, while the strain gauge on the other side is connected to a diaphragm element to form a movable bridge arm.

The bridge arms of the Wheatstone bridge are connected in series with a pair of resistors of the same resistance value, and the two remaining resistors are potentiometers that can be adjusted in order to maintain bridge balance. The two movable bridge arms are connected to the diaphragms, so that when the pressure of the two chambers is unequal, the Wheatstone bridge will be unbalanced and generate a bridge potential difference.

When the bridge potential difference is large enough, the detector will output an electrical signal that is proportional to the pressure difference, and it will be greate with the strength of the pressure difference on the diaphragm.

The output current of the UTP28CH100RD is used as a drive signal of the frequency converter. The frequency converter is driven by the signal generated by the UTP28CH100RD, and the frequency of driving signal is converted according to the change of input current, so as to achieve the purpose of measuring instruments.
