The UTP28X70BL is a low noise, ambient temperature compensated optical receiver that offers an extensive temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. With a maximum sensitivity of -12 dBm at 25°C, this product provides reliable performance in challenging applications such as long-reach networks, metro access networks, and multi-gigabit/s Ethernet. This receiver utilizes a receiver that has a 4NA amplifier coupled with an integrated PIN detector and a transimpedance amplifier, providing ultra-low noise performance and excellent uniformity and linearity when receiving optical signals.

The receiver responds to both continuous-wave and pulse-let and has a high input power capability of +2 dBm. In addition, the UTP28X70BL also features high-bandwidth 1.25 Gb/s operation which makes it suitable for demanding applications such as HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and Infiniband.
