UTP6A100 is a categorized type of voltage-controlled two-phase brushless motor driver. This motor driver has been designed to drive two-phase brushless motors’ rotors. Its applications include the fields of medical, computer, household and professional equipment, as well as electric tools, electric toys, models, and other products. This high performance motor driver is specifically designed for high torque applications and can operate up to 13A rms (25A peak) with a maximum voltage of 20V.The working principle of UTP6A100 is simple. It consists of a power stage, a gate stage, and a passive damping stage. The power stage consists of two half-bridge outputs to drive a two-phase brushless motor. The gate stage is made up of two half-bridge drivers, two capacitor discharge circuits, and two P-channel MOS. The passive damping stage consists of an RC filter to reduce the EMF noise of the motor. When a logic signal is applied to the input, the two half-bridge drivers will activate and control the two half-bridge outputs. This will then drive the rotor of the two-phase brushless motor.
UTP6A100 offers a range of protection features to ensure reliable operation. These features include brownout protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, thermal protection, and under-voltage protection. In addition, UTP6A100 supports three types of input logic signals, such as TTL, Park and PWM. It also offers a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. Furthermore, it has an integrated delay system to protect the motor and keep it safe from any sudden current surges.
