TVS – Varistors, MOVs

V07E17P, also known as Varistor, is a voltage-sensitive protection device derived from Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS). It is typically made of a metal-oxide material, such as zinc oxide, which has a large dielectric constant and a nonlinear current–voltage (I-V) characteristic. With a high breakdown voltage (VBR) and low dynamic resistance (Rdyn), Varistors provide an effective solution to transient over-voltage protection.

Application Field and Working Principle
