The V140LS2PX2855 is a bidirectional, ultra-high surge voltage varistor which provides ultra-high transient suppression capability to 8 KV. It combines the transient suppression capability of an MOV with the clamping capability of a zener diode and provides excellent series resistance. The most common application field of the V140LS2PX2855 is for telecommunications, where it is used as a transient suppressor for DSL, VDSL, and cable modems. The working principle of the V140LS2PX2855 is based on the non-linear metal-oxide varistor (MOV) technology.
