V320LS20A is a kind of Thyristor-Protected Varistor. It is a combination of a relationship between resistance and voltage that govern and protect side drive devices such as TVS (transient voltage suppressors), MOVs (movs) and unijunction transistors (UJTs). It has positive temperature coefficient so it can offer excellent protection against over-voltage, surge current and switch-on voltage.

In automotive, it is used to protect the vehicle components from environmental influences such as over-voltage, under-voltage, transient voltage and others. The general working principle of V320LS20A is based on the behavior of its components.
