TVS – Varistors, MOVs are electrical components used to protect against transient power surges. The V39ZC1P is an unidirectional switching device designed to protect sensitive electronic components from both over-voltage and over-current pulses.
V39ZC1P Application Field
This PTC varistor element has a wide range of applications. V39ZC1P Working Principle
The working principle of the V39ZC1P is based on the fact that its resistance changes with the voltage across it. In normal conditions, the PTC varistor element will remain in a high resistance, non-conducting state. But when the voltage across it exceeds a certain threshold, an avalanche breakdown occurs which causes its resistance to start dropping. This turn-ON behavior enables the V39ZC1P to act as a surge protector, absorbing and dissipating excessive energy.
When the surge is over, the device returns to its non-conducting state. This ensures that the protected equipment will be operating in its normal condition. The device has a low voltage holding current behavior which can be used to stabilize voltage fluctuations in different types of electrical applications.
The V39ZC1P is a cost effective, low voltage, unidirectional current limiting device which can be used in a variety of applications. Its superior protection capabilities make it suitable for use in demanding electronic systems.
