It has a silver-plated center pin providing excellent electrical contact with minimal insertion loss. The cable supports up to 24 dB return loss over the wide band rating, which ensures a reliable connection during transmission and reception. Furthermore, the capsule design of VA202 connector effectively prevents external EMI and offers excellent shielding effectiveness from 10 kHz to 18 GHz.The VA202 series has two basic categories: the female connector and the male connector. Each connector has an insulated body and a center pin made of corrosion-resistant silver alloy. The female connector houses the internal contact and can be blind-mating because the center pin is protected by a rubber cap. The male connector is the plug which has an inner contact and an outer contact. The inner contact is spring phosphor bronze plated with gold plating, and the outer contact is phosphor bronze plated with silver. The adapter has an olive knurled coupling nut with positive "groove and key" alignment to ensure secure and accurate mating.The VA202 series has an excellent mating cycle life of 500 cycles. It is also available with a range of optional features such as waterproofing, reverse polarity and grounding, and it meets the requirements of MIL-C-39012 and is IP68 rated.
