A wide variety of signal inputs and outputs are supported including GPIOs, LVGPIOs and low voltage switch logic inputs. Its multiple-level protection features make it ideal for automotive and other high-reliability applications.The VB325SP is a 5V switch IC optimized for switching voltages up to 30V. It provides noise-resistant signal isolation, adjustable turn-on and turn-off loads, and adjustable signal levels, enabling the designer to customize the performance of the circuits built on the VB325SP platform. It also has adjustable current limits, power supply monitoring, power-on reset and overload protection.The VB325SP’s working principle is based on a process of switching power distribution by controlling the ON and OFF state of the power paths. The VB325SP’s ON and OFF states are controlled by a logic signal which can be programmed using the desired logic voltage, logic levels, along with timing and pre-set parameters.In the on state the VB325SP switches the logic control signal to its high side, allowing the power to flow from the power supply to the load, and in the off state the VB325SP switches the logic control signal to its low side, allowing the power to be switched off from the load.The VB325SP also features power and signal status protection as well as an advanced fault detection module which allows the VB325SP to detect and respond to short-circuit, over-voltage and over-current scenarios.The VB325SP is a high performance and cost-effective solution for distributed power applications.
