The crimp contact which offers stable performance up to 6GHz is adopted in the VBM301-75.The overall length of the connector is about 50mm. The outer diameter of the cable end is 22mm, the body part is 24.3mm OD, and the combined strain relief/insulator is 27mm OD.

It is composed by two main parts, the outer part and the inner part. The outer part of the VGP301-75 connectors provide crimp contacts for cable termination and strain relief for the cable structure. The inner part provides a threaded coupling nut which allows the connector to be mated with a second matching connector. It also has a shielding or screening outer cover which allows it to be robust against environmental interferences.

The inner part of the VBM301-75 contains a strain relief / insulator provided with a threaded coupling nut which is connected with a grounding sleeve. The connectors contains a PCT (positive-contact) male crimp-type center contact with a locking nut which provides air gap and ideal impedance matching. The outer contact shell is made of Stainless Steel which provides resistance against corrosion and improves durability. The center contact is gold-plated for reliability and wear resistance.

The working principle of the VBM301-75 is quite simple. The signal from a cable is transmitted through the centercontact, and the shielding or screening around the inner part provides high interference immunity by preventing the signal from interference outside the connector. The shielding also provides some degree of noise reduction, which reduces signal distortion.
