They are widely used for power supply, motor protection or surge protectors.The VC14MT0950KBA is a MOV device developed by Radiy electronics. Specifically, it is a low-cost, high-performance, encapsulated MOV with minimal performance variation in various environmental conditions.The VC14MT0950KBA is designed to protect against voltage transients such as lightning, high-energy power surges and switching transients. It is suitable for applications such as transient overvoltage suppression, line filter, data line and telephone line protection.The VC14MT0950KBA is suitable for use in AC power lines, telephone lines and data lines. It is designed to protect both high-speed AC and DC power systems from voltage transients. The SC14MT0950KBA provides excellent protection against a wide range of voltage transients including lightning, surge, oscillatory transients, switching transients, high-energy transients and high-voltage transients.The varistor is based on metal oxide and provides excellent performance over a wide temperature range and holds up to high energy surges. It is capable of withstanding up to 1000V of 120Hz, providing a peak clamp voltage of up to 900 volts. This MOV device also features a long life and low leakage of less than 0.1μA.The working principle of the VC14MT0950KBA is quite simple. It has two terminals connected to the circuit, forming a parallel connection. When AC voltage rises above a certain threshold voltage (V-1) the device becomes conductive and provides a low impedance path, diverting current away from the circuitry and thus preventing damage due to excessive voltage.
