VDRH10S275BSE is a 10mm Radial Disc shaped Non-linear Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) with 350VAC Clamping Voltage and 10,000A peak current rating. When voltage increases, resistance decreases proportionally and current starts to increase rapidly. This rapid increase compounds the energy dissipation, dissipating energy as heat.

VDRH10S275BSE also provides secondary backup protection against overvoltage and disruptive discharge. It combines the unique combination of MOVs and fuses. It typically utilizes an MOV block and fuse that are configured in parallel. The MOV element works in tandem with the fuse, providing additional backup protection against overvoltage and disruptive discharge. The MOV would be the first element to trigger in the event of an overvoltage or disruptive discharge. The fuse would then provide additional protection in the event the MOV fails to limit the voltage or current.
