The VDV812-627 connector employs two precision machined brass bodies with an inner dielectric support. The outer serrated sleeve of the plug provides radial mechanical support to the cable, whilst, the jack locks onto the plug providing full axial retention.

Additionally, the VDV812-627 features two set screws positioned on the plug which can be tightened to secure the braid of the cable within the assembly. The coaxial cable is held in compression against the dielectric sleeve providing a reliable termination of the contact with the braid. This ensures maximum performance for the transmission line across the frequency spectrum.
