LED drivers do more than just adjust the voltage output to power and turn on and off the LED. The VLED15-120-1400 series LED driver uses 18-36 V voltage input, output 0-1400 mA constant current and 0-150 W constant power. It is specially designed for LED lighting products. Its applications are very wide, and the power range is very wide, from 0W to 150W.

When applied to LED lighting, VLED15-120-1400 can use pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming. Users can feedback the PWM signal from microcontroller or microprocessor, and then the LED driver can adjust the output current, and then makes the light flicker dimmer/brighter constantly. This driver also enables frequency synchronization with/without dimming signals for even better dimming effect.

The working principle of VLED15-120-1400 can be divided into three parts. Firstly, the LED driver step down the input voltage by the buck-circuit, and output constant current. Then it will switch constantly to get the correct output current and voltage according to the feedback signal. Finally, the output current is adjusted to match the input voltage, and then output steady current.

Basically, the LED driver will receive PWM or analog dimming signal and then adjust its output current, this action takes control of the brightness of the LED light. In addition, the working frequency of VLED15-120-1400 is adjustable up to 20000Hz, that gives it lower EMI and better dimming performance. The built-in OVP (over voltage protection) will provide effective protection to the driver and its LED lighting products.
