The VN5E010AHTR-E is a power distribution switch, load driver and global circuit protection device. It is a programmable and configurable low voltage switch that can be used in a variety of applications.
The VN5E010AHTR-E has a CMOS pFET on-board and can support up to 120mA output current. The on-board current limit with auto-restart feature provides short-circuit protection and makes this device suitable for wide range of applications in the automotive, industrial, consumer and portable markets.
The VN5E010AHTR-E also features a wide 0.8V to 2.5V operating supply range, a low on-resistance with a 600mV dropout maximum and a dual output DMOS switch configuration. This enables the device to operate in a variety of power management applications such as general purpose power or load switch, LED driver, backlight control and general purpose cell-phone or power management.
Applications of the VN5E010AHTR-E range from battery charging to distributed power management, LED and power control, LDO and DC-DC converter control and more. The device can also be used in analog and digital signal processing applications, communication systems, systems and controllers. It is ideal for portable, automotive, industrial and consumer applications.
The VN5E010AHTR-E provides two configurable DMOS switches with over-current protection. The switches utilize a voltage control input and a floating output. The operation of the switch can be controlled by an external signal for a variety of control functions, or the control logic can be configured internally for use in power management when integrated in a system.
When the VN5E010AHTR-E is used as a general purpose power switch, the current limit is set to the minimum current limit for the application. When used as a load switch, the current limit is set to the load current to be driven. The device utilizes its output discharge feature which allows the output to be discharged to ground when the device is disabled, providing a more energy efficient control.
The VN5E010AHTR-E can also be used as a circuit protection device.
