When the LED is conducting, the phototransistor allows the current flow between the source and the load.

The temperature regulating transistor helps to protect the LED from Overheating and maintains the output voltage according to the user\'s requirements. In this way, the voltage running through the LED is regulated and kept at an optimal level.
