Thyristors are a semiconductor device commonly used in power electronic applications. SCRs or Silicon Controlled Rectifiers, are a type of thyristor wherein the current flow is switched by a voltage applied between the cathode and the anode. The VS-111RKI80 SCR is a three-terminal device with two gate terminals and an anode terminal. The power dissipation of the device depends on its specific application but generally ranges from 50 to 400 W.
