It is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -55 to 175 degrees Celsius and features an ultra-fast recovery time. The VS-12FLR40S05 is available in a three-pin SOT-223 package which can easily be mounted on the board.</p> <h2>Working Principle of VS-12FLR40S05</h2> <p>The VS-12FLR40S05 functions as a rectifier, primarily responsible for converting AC or pulsating DC into a clean DC with minimal ripple. It works by allowing current to flow in one direction while blocking the flow in the opposite direction. When an alternating voltage is applied across the device, a current will flow in the anode-cathode direction once the anode voltage is higher than the cathode, thus allowing DC to pass through.</p> <p>When the voltage starts to reverse, the diode immediately blocks any current flow in the reverse direction. During this process, the diode is said to have a “recovery time”, during which it transitions from a low resistance to a high resistance state.
