Working Principle

The VS-20TQ035-N3 is a bridge rectifier that uses two p-type and two n-type silicon semiconductors to form a complete rectification circuit. It has four terminals, two of which are labeled anode and two of which are labeled cathode. When an AC voltage is applied to the anode and cathode terminals, current flows through the circuit as determined by the polarity of the applied voltage. When a positive portion of the AC voltage is applied to the anode and negative portion of the AC voltage is applied to the cathode, current will flow from the anode to the cathode through the internal diodes of the bridge rectifier. Similarly, when the polarity is reversed the current will flow from the cathode to the anode.
