Thyristors - SCRs

The VS-25RIA120 is a thyristor in the form of a control element. It is a semiconductor device and part of a group known as a silicon controlled rectifier or SCR. This device utilizes a four-layer, alternating N and P type material for the purpose of controlling current flow through the material.

The thyristors have an active region where ac or dc power is applied to the different regions.
