The VS-MBR150 is a single-phase, low-voltage rectifier designed as a cost-effective, plug-and-play solution for reliable and efficient power conversion. This device has been designed with a simple, patented design that features low forward voltage drop and low reverse leakage current, enabling it to effectively block voltage while still providing positive direction current. Additionally, the device is characterized by very low operating temperature, meaning it won\'t often overheat and shut down, even when exposed to higher wattage loads.
This device is constructed with a single-phase bridge rectifier consisting of two diodes arranged in what is known as a bridge circuit configuration, with the anode and cathode connected to two separate points on the load. This feature means that when two AC-sourced load current is shown positively (polarity in one direction), the diodes are forward-biased, allowing current to flow from cathode to anode across the load, and when a negative current (polarity in opposite direction) is shown, the diodes are reverse-biased, blocking current from flowing across the load. This enables the device to successfully block both AC and DC signal voltages, making it ideal for power conditioning applications such as motor control, power supply, and power conversion, as well as for general rectification purposes.
In terms of physical form factor, the VS-MBR150 is packaged in a UL 94V-0 rated black plastic housing which includes the device\'s mounting hardware and PCB contact points, making it very easy to install into almost any environment. This device also features internally-protected diodes, meaning they can provide many years of reliable operation before needing to be replaced. Finally, the VS-MBR150 also features a wide operating temperature range, ranging from -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for industrial as well as commercial applications.
