Diodes are widely used in various applications. The VS-MBR745PBF is one of the rectifier families that can be used in a broad range of applications. The family of high-power surface mount devices offer low forward voltage drop with a maximum rated current per diode of 45A. The VS-MBR745PBF is a single common cathode type device that consists of two silicon diodes connected in parallel. The two diodes are commonly referred to as “schottky” or “propellant”. Each diode has a minimum current (Imin) rating of 8A with a maximum current capability of 45A. Each diode has a forward voltage drop of 0.5 volts max along with a minimum reverse leakage current of 100 microamperes (uA) typical. The reverse recovery time is maximum 140ns.

The VS-MBR745PBF features a hermetic seal used to protect the die against environmental stresses. This is augmented with an epoxy coating that offers further protection against vibration and mechanical shock.
