The VS-MBRD340-M3 is a single center tap rectifier in a high power-dissipation plastic package with four mounting holes and bottom-to-top air flow. It is designed to provide high efficiency, long term reliability and superior surge strength characteristics for single-switch converters, AC/DC rectification and free wheeling applications.

The VS-MBRD340-M3 is composed of a single center tap diode with current ratings up to 8A at peak repetitive reverse voltage of 400V. The center tap diode can conduct current in either direction depending on the applied polarity. Built-in surge suppression is included to protect against sudden overcurrents and voltage spikes that commonly occur in higher output units using AC input over a wide range of temperatures and line voltages.

The device itself consists of a cathode, an anode and a center-tap.
