VS-MURB2020CTTRRP application field and working principle

VS-MURB2020CTTRRP is a series of high-performance Schottky barrier rectifier diodes, which are suitable for a wide range of applications including low and high voltage power supplies, power factor correction, UPS systems, and voltage regulation. The VS-MURB2020CTTRRP series covers a wide range of currents from 1A to 20A and a voltage range of 10V to 100V.

The working principles of the VS-MURB2020CTTRRP are similar to those of other Schottky barrier rectifier diodes. They employ a very thin, metallic layer placed between the anode and the cathode to form a barrier that prevents electrons from traveling in the reverse direction. Because of the extremely thin metallic layer, the voltage drop across the Schottky barrier is much lower than that of a standard silicon diode. This results in much higher efficiency when used in power supplies and other electronic systems.

The lower voltage drop also results in a faster recovery from reverse leakage, which is ideal for applications such as power factor correction.
