It consists of two high-efficiency, high-temperature, fast-recovery rectifiers operated in a common-cathode configuration. The VS-RA220FA120 provides up to 59 amps of current at a 20V peak forward voltage. This rectifier array is ideally suited for hot-swap applications, as well as in radio frequency, power supply, and other power electronics applications.

The VS-RA220FA120 is a 60mm x 50mm rectifier array with a twelve (12) terminal design. It is rated for operation from -55°C to +150°C, with a maximum forward voltage of 20V and a maximum surge current of 59 amps. The VS-RA220FA120 features an integrated over-temperature protection and a prefabricated metal base for better heat dissipation.

The VS-RA220FA120 offers three main working principles--Snapback, Soft-Recovery and Diode Clamp. The Snapback principle ensures robust, fast-recovery rectification by maintaining a constant, stable voltage during abnormal conduction. The Soft-Recovery principle minimizes current surges during hot switches, ensuring fast, efficient rectification with low thermal stress. The Diode Clamp principle absorbs and dissipates large amounts of current by clamping the reverse voltage to a predetermined level.
